Raw sugar is the primary product from which refined sugars are produced. In certain regions, it is also consumed directly as a food item. The majority of the world’s sugar exports consist of raw sugar, with Brazil being the leading exporter. Brazil exports VHP (Very High Polarization) raw sugar in significant quantities, often exceeding twenty million tons annually.
